๐ Don't Waste Money on Pinterest Ads

One of the biggest mistakes I see is people paying to promote a Pin that has never performed organically. If a Pin isn't getting clicks, saves, or outbound traffic on its own, throwing money at it usually just means paying more people not to click.

Instead:
โ Create multiple versions of the same Pin.
โ Let them run organically for a few weeks.
โ Find your winner.
โ Then put your ad budget behind the Pin that's already proven it can get results.
Think of organic Pinterest as your free testing ground.
Pinterest vs. Meta Ads
With Meta (Facebook & Instagram), you're interrupting someone's scroll.
With Pinterest, you're reaching people who are actively searching for ideas, products, and solutions. That's a huge difference in buyer intent.
For many advertisers, it's common to see:
- Meta CPC: around $0.50โ$2.00+ depending on the niche.
- Pinterest CPC: often $0.10โ$1.50, with many niches landing on the lower end when campaigns are well optimized.
The exact numbers depend on your industry, audience, and creative, but Pinterest often delivers highly qualified traffic because users are already planning their next purchase or project.
My strategy:
- Test Pins organically (free).
- Find the winners.
- Put ad dollars behind proven content.
- Create more versions of your winning Pins and scale.
Don't use ads to find a winning Pin.
Use ads to amplify one you've already found. ๐
